No luck for Janet & Sonia

On a very hot Sunday afternoon many members gathered to watch and give support to Janet Cole and Sonia Moore who play their Unbadged Pairs Quarter Final against Caroline Parker and Anne Russell from Bovey Tracey.

Not only was the weather hot but so was the bowling. After 8 ends the scores were even but then the Bovey ladies stepped up a gear and went 8 ends without reply. Not to be outdone the West End ladies fought back winning the next 4 ends, but it was too late, time had beaten them. The Bovey Tracey ladies took the last end and the match. Well played Janet and Sonia, better luck next year.
